TRANSGEOTransforming abandoned wells for geothermal energy production

https://www.interreg-central.eu/projects/transgeo/
INTERREG Central Europe 2021-20272023-2026The fossil fuels industry is declining in central Europe and leaves behind countless gas and oil wells. The TRANSGEO project is turning this environmental problem into an opportunity: it investigates the potentials of such abandoned infrastructures for producing and storing green geothermal energy. The partnership develops a transnational strategy and regional action plans to give a second life to the wells and tests their repurposing potential in local pilot actions.hydrocarbon wells, geohermal energy, energy transition, strategy, action planHelmholtz-Centre Potsdam German Research Centre for Geosciences

INTERREG Danube Transnational Programme 2014-20202017-2019Project eGUTS strives to exploit potentials of e-mobility in eight Danube cities, regions and beyond. To do so, the existing network of 22 partners will develop innovative eGUTS Standards for cities supporting e-mobility, based on combined Feasibility Studies will elaborate and realize Local Action Plans for deploying them, develop and test the eGUTS APP smart tool, implement various Pilot Actions in the fields of road preference and parking policies, charging stations, rental spots, and more.mobilty, transport, action planCitizens's Association No Gravity
