RURESPromote the Sustainable Use of Renewable Resources and Energy Efficiency in Rural Regions

https://programme2014-20.interreg-central.eu/Content.Node/RURES.html
INTERREG Central Europe 2014-20202017-2020A rapidly growing world population and increasing energy consumption are leading to a continuous rise of greenhouse gas emissions. Resulting climate change and extreme weather events represent one of the greatest challenges in Europe. RURES sets to exploit the potential of renewable energies (RES) and energy efficiency (EE) in rural regions as they have a great potential for reaching energy autonomy. Within RURES local support group composed of all relevant actors will be established acting as a regional energy network for implementing energy efficiency plans.renewable energy, energy efficiency, rural regions, energy autonomyAufbauwerk Region Leipzig GmbH (Project Manager)

Carbon Farming CEDevelopment of Carbon Farming in the Central Europe

https://www.interreg-central.eu/projects/carbon-farming-ce/
INTERREG Central Europe 2021-20272023-2026Carbon farming is the process of changing agricultural practices to increase the amount of carbon stored in the soil, or to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from livestock. It has huge potential but is still underused in central Europe. The Carbon Farming - CE project wants to change this and make regions more familiar with the concept. The partnerhip adapts and tests various techniques and business models and develops a monitoring tool for transnational, standardised carbon sequestration.agriculture, rural regions, carbon storage, financial modelAgriculutal Institute of Slovenia

Linking DanubeLinking transnational, multimodal traveller information and journey planners for environmentally-friendly mobility in the Danube Region

https://dtp.interreg-danube.eu/approved-projects/linking-danube
INTERREG Danube Transnational Programme 2014-20202017-2019LinkingDanube tackles the problem of insufficient provision of cross-border traveller information on public transport, particularly considering cross-border commuting and mobility in rural areas . The overall project objective is to foster environmentally-friendly mobility options and balanced accessibility in the Danube Region. LinkingDanube especially focuses on connecting less accessible areas in the Danube region by linking alternative public transport services and integrating demand transport data into the services. Therefore the integration of transport-on-demand service information is one of the core elements in the project.public transport, rural regions, mobilityAustriaTech Federal Agency for Technological Measures Ltd.
